The Cover
Girl ministry at Resurrection is a group that gathers on Wednesdays, 10:30 am - 3:30 pm, with sewing machines and batting in their midst. They share not only a passion for creating works of art out of scraps of cloth but also a
love for those children and aging adults who will one day be wrapped in their
quilts. Each quilt provides not only a reason to gather and work together but
also a memory to cherish as well.
The group has been known to take trips "Around the World in 90 Days" by sewing Lutheran World Relief quilts which go out into all the world as they are needed.
See their quilts in action as Lutheran World Relief serves the need of the Ukranian people.
During the 2nd QTR of the year, the group sews quilts for kids and babies - donating them to various groups in the area - Wylie Children's Medical Clinic, The Samaritan Inn, and Children's Medical Center of Plano.
Later in the year they keep busy sewing items for their Annual Christmas Sale and those dollars have been donated to various groups through the Women of RLC. Recent beneficiaries have been - City House, The Samaritan Inn, Children's Advocacy Center, Hope's Door, Minnie's Food Pantry and Lutheran World Relief.
