Schuler, Gayle Harben, 81, the daughter, and only child, of the late Paul and Tiny (Stone) Harben and the wife of H. George Schuler was born in McKinney, TX and died peacefully with her family present on June 25, 2021. She attended Farmersville, TX public schools and graduated from Farmersville High School in 1957. After earning her Bachelor's degree in education from East Texas State University, she was dedicated to the field of elementary education.
Upon graduating she taught in the Richardson and Plano Public Schools, ending her teaching career in 1973 at Aldridge Elementary school where she made many of lifelong friends. Upon retirement, she completely dedicated her life to her family. George and Gayle lived in Plano, Texas the majority of their lives together, and would spend their free time enjoying weekends at their Lake Texoma home.
The core of Gayle's existence was her family. Together George and Gayle raised their son, Kevin Schuler of Sherman, Texas and daughter, Cindy Schuler North, of Dallas, Texas. She is also survived by her beloved grandson, William Schuler North, and step-grandchildren Heather Medina, Jennifer Newcomb, Caroline North Pritchard and Charlotte North. Other cherished survivors include daughter-in-law, Pam Schuler, son-in-law, Kerry North, sister-in-law, Adele Schuler Douglass with husband, Ed Douglass, brother-in-law, Jack Schuler with wife, Renate Schuler as well as nephews Tino Schuler (Silke), Andy Douglass (Kelli) and Danny Douglass (Amber), and nieces Tanya Sharman (Jay) and Tess Hoffman (Sam) in addition to many great nephews and nieces, as well as numerous cousins.
The family is grateful for the loving care Gayle received at Fountain View at Highland Springs over the past six years.
